Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is sourcing a Buyer (Construction) in Haverfordwest. You will manage purchasing across multiple projects, raising purchase orders and coordinating with site teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires experience in purchasing/procurement within construction and offers a clear path for progression, training and company benefits in a busy procurement department.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing / procurement experience is required.
• Background in construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process purchasing requisitions from Site Managers and convert to purchase orders.
• Develop and maintain a system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
• Track orders through to fulfilment and maintain relevant documentation.
• Produce weekly purchase order reports for management and highlight supplier invoice variations.
• Liaise with site teams to ensure deliveries align with purchase orders.
• Identify and report back-ordered, delayed or missing materials.
