Job summary

Newstaff Employment Services is seeking an experienced construction Buyer to join our client’s team. You will manage procurement for materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency across projects.

You will negotiate with suppliers, analyse market trends, and collaborate with project managers to define material needs while maintaining accurate records. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with a salary of £40,000 to £55,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist in construction.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Understanding of construction materials, pricing, and procurement processes.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.

Responsibilities
