Job summary

Kingdom Academy, part of the Kingdom Group, is seeking a Construction Assessor to join our training division. This hybrid role involves remote work, visits to learner sites across Scotland, and occasional attendance at the Cumbernauld office.

You’ll assess learners, plan visits, and support employers while delivering high-quality training. Ideal candidates have carpentry & joinery craft experience, a relevant SVQ/SCQF qualification, and a willingness to pursue assessor accreditation.

Qualifications

• Construction experience at craft level.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
• Supervisory construction experience desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting learners throughout their qualification journey.
• Conducting inductions, reviews, observations and assessments.
• Assessing learner evidence and providing constructive feedback.
• Working closely with employers and line managers to support learner progression.
• Managing learner records and evidence through our e-portfolio systems.
• Planning and organising assessment visits across Scotland.
• Delivering training and development activities where required.
• Providing information, advice and guidance to learners.
• Ensuring compliance with awarding body and company requirements.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and learner records.
