Dandara Living in Tunbridge Wells seeks a Construction Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. You’ll support the regional Construction team with accurate reporting, document management and programme tracking across developments.
Ideal candidates are highly organised, detail-oriented and proficient with MS Office; experience with COINS is advantageous. You’ll work closely with the Construction Director and site teams to keep projects on track.
We’re looking for an organised, proactive Construction Administrator to join Dandara on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.
Sitting at the heart of our regional Construction team, this is much more than a general administration role. You’ll help ensure the information, reporting and documentation our teams rely on is accurate, up to date and delivered on time.
Working closely with the Construction Director, Contracts Managers and Site Management teams, you’ll have exposure to projects across the region and play an important part in keeping everything from construction programmes and NHBC reporting to handover documentation and training records on track.
If you enjoy bringing structure to a busy environment, keeping on top of deadlines and making sure nothing gets missed, this could be a great opportunity.
You’ll help maintain the information that allows our Construction team to understand progress across our developments. This will include:
Maintaining construction information within COINS, including weekly progress, programme dates and forecasts
Preparing regular programme, CML, EU, Non-Mover and Build Risk reports
Supporting monthly WIP reporting and other recurring reports
Collating information for weekly Construction management meetings
Monitoring reporting deadlines and following up outstanding information and actions
You’ll provide important administrative support across our quality and compliance activities, including:
Preparing and maintaining regular NHBC performance reports
Supporting the administration of NHBC and Premier Guarantee portals
Maintaining regional Quality and Health & Safety trackers
Issuing Quality and H&S Alerts and coordinating close-out actions
Helping collate and complete development Health & Safety Files
As our developments progress towards completion, you’ll help make sure the necessary records and documentation are in place.
You’ll maintain handover and commissioning certification trackers, support the preparation of O&M Manuals and client handover documentation, and work with site teams to obtain outstanding certificates and information.
You’ll also provide administrative support for PRS and client reporting where required.
You’ll become a central point of support for our regional Construction team, helping coordinate meetings, information and communication.
This will include:
Coordinating Project Team Meetings and other recurring Construction meetings
Maintaining the regional Construction Training Matrix
Supporting training administration
Assisting with development newsletters and Construction communications
Maintaining departmental trackers, templates, records and filing systems
Raising and assisting with Purchase Orders through COINS
Preparing reports, presentations, letters and other documentation
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Construction Director, Contracts Managers and Site Management teams
You don’t necessarily need to be a construction expert. What we’re looking for is someone who is highly organised, accurate, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Previous administration experience, ideally within construction, housebuilding or a similar environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The confidence to chase information and follow up outstanding actions
A proactive approach and willingness to get involved and support the wider team
Experience using COINS or a similar business system would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
This is an opportunity to become an integral part of a busy Construction team and gain broad exposure to how our developments are managed from programme and reporting through to quality, compliance and final handover.
Although this is a 12-month maternity cover position, you’ll be joining us in a role where you can make an immediate contribution, build strong relationships across our regional teams and gain valuable experience within one of the UK's leading independent housebuilders.
If you’re an experienced administrator who enjoys keeping people, information and deadlines on track, we’d love to hear from you.
