Having a full driving licence is essential, as are NRSWA training and a mini digger qualification. A blue card is also required, and you should be comfortable working outdoors in all weathers while communicating clearly with customers.

We’re looking for someone to come and join the team as a Connection Operative, working in the West Midlands area. In this role you will provide dependable customer service within set timescales. We will be looking for you to safely but effectively install our infrastructure assets – pipes & ancillary fittings. To do this you will be uundertaking a full range of duties involved in the delivery of an effective Installation of new water connections. You will be using a wide range of innovative technologies and equipment to ensure water supplies are connected on time.
But it’s not only the fitting of the connections, we’ll also be looking for you to deliver customer service of the highest standard, working to deliver the job right first time, every time and being able to communicate with our customers to clearly and concisely explain the reason for your visit and provide any advice required and up to date timescales for follow on work.

Having the right character, positivity and a caring attitude is vitally important and we’ll want to talk to you, but having the right skills and experience are important.
Having a full driving licence is essential, as are being NRSWA trained and a mini digger qualification. Someone who has worked in the water / utilities industry who understands our connections is ideal.We will also look for you to have a valid blue card.
We will look for you to have the ability to work directly with customers in a face to face environment. We’ll want you to maintain a positive outlook at work, remain flexible and accept new ideas and change initiatives as well as being physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in all weathers.
