Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard LLP is seeking a proactive Conflicts Analyst to join the Onboarding Conflicts team. The role focuses on compliance by conducting conflict checks and providing risk analysis to support client inception and publications across the firm’s global operation.

The successful candidate will review conflicts, manage inquiries, and collaborate with partners, fee earners and support staff, ensuring rigorous adherence to regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in risk and compliance within a law firm, accountancy or financial services environment.
• Ability to conduct extensive research and critically analyse complex information.
• Ability to work at pace, managing and prioritising conflicting deadlines.
• Experience building rapport and trust with stakeholders of all levels to enhance communication.
• Knowledge of The Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Regulations 2019 or equivalent, Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, UN, UK and US Sanction regimes, and the SRA Code of Conduct 2019.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and Intapp (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, filtering and resolving conflict search results, including legal and commercial analysis of potential conflicts and confidentiality issues, and escalating only key issues to partners, fee earners or the Conflicts Advisory Team.
• Liaising with PAs, fee earners, partners and the wider conflicts team on potential issues and general queries.
• Managing all queries received into the team inbox, including creating and maintaining information barriers, processing extended reports and handling other ad hoc tasks, and responding to compliance-related queries under supervision.
• Supporting project work, including development of workflows and the monitoring of systems and controls.
