Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Configuration Engineer to support IPCM Delivery Manager and deliver comprehensive programme and project management across IPCM programmes.

The role requires coordinating with diverse teams to ensure successful delivery, governance, data analysis, and reporting. Candidates should have a degree in engineering or related fields and experience in configuration management and PMO environments.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Configuration Management, Project Management, Systems Engineering, or related.
• Experience in data collection, programming, and data analysis.
• Experience in configuration management, project controls, PMO, or similar delivery environment.
• Experience preparing governance board packs, reports, action trackers, and meeting minutes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams), Power BI.
• Experience in major infrastructure, nuclear, defence, or regulated industries is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing IPCM Board governance activities, including preparation of presentations, reporting packs, action tracking, minutes, and records.
• Coordinating with Design, Delivery, Commissioning, Nuclear Safety, and Control Tower teams for effective communication and reporting.
• Leading the monthly Configuration Status Update process with data, KPIs, risks, and deltas across configurations.
• Analysing configuration differences, facilitating resolutions, and presenting delta assessments to governance forums.
• Supporting assurance and compliance through self-assessments and audits.
• Driving lessons learned and improvements by maintaining reporting within systems.
• Providing CM support to governance and review activities, aligning with Change Control, Data Management, and ISGR.
