People with Energy is seeking a Configuration & Change Control specialist to join a nuclear engineering team in the UK. You will coordinate configuration activities, support design authorities, and manage changes across project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate configuration management and change control activities across the project.
  • Support Engineering Managers and Design Authorities with configuration matters.
  • Manage design changes, interfaces, open points and reference document changes.
  • Maintain configuration control throughout design handovers and project lifecycle.
  • Analyse technical information, configuration records and project data.
  • Ensure processes align with nuclear standards and UK regulatory expectations.
  • Develop data-centric approaches to improve configuration management.
  • Maintain accurate configuration records, databases and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and procedures.
  • Track progress, manage priorities and escalate configuration issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate configuration management and change control activities across the project.
  • Support Engineering Managers and Design Authorities with configuration matters.
  • Manage design changes, technical interfaces, open points and reference document changes.
  • Maintain configuration control throughout design handovers and project lifecycle stages.
  • Analyse technical information, configuration records and project data.
  • Ensure processes align with nuclear standards and UK regulatory expectations.
  • Develop data-centric approaches to improve configuration management.
  • Maintain accurate configuration records, databases and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and procedures.
  • Track progress, manage priorities and escalat configuration issues effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Engineering or technical background with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience within the nuclear or wider highly regulated engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and change control principles.
  • Experience analysing technical documentation and engineering data.
  • Understanding of engineering requirements and quality processes.
  • Knowledge of EPR or nuclear power plant design is highly beneficial.
  • Awareness of Nuclear Site Licence, CDM and nuclear construction quality requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively.
  • Good awareness of project schedules and budgets.
