Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Configuration Engineer to join our proactive and innovative team. This role provides holistic lifecycle Systems Engineering support for activities within our customer's program. It requires a systems thinking mindset and the application of various methods, tools, and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform configuration management functions including product change management, planning, identification, status accounting, and verification.
- Support existing and future development programs with configuration management requirements, including:
- Identifying technical problems and applying solutions.
- Creating work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines.
- Supporting technical solutions against customer requirements and contributing to bids and proposals.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of configuration management plans.
- Managing product data in the PLM system.
- Supporting test specifications and compliance demonstrations.
- Participating in technical and customer reviews, including gate reviews.
- Supporting the release of engineering data.
Qualifications
- BEng or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Communications.
Essential Skills
- Attention to detail and strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of safety importance within the industry.
- Initiative and ability to work within established procedures.
- Effective communication of technical information to diverse audiences.
- Experience with model-based engineering techniques, including MBSE.
- At least 5 years of system engineering experience supporting customer requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 15228 or similar standards.
- Experience with delivery methods like waterfall, agile, DevOps.
- Understanding of stakeholder requirements, verification, validation, and transition processes.
- Cross-domain requirements management experience.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with EA Sparx, DOORS, and PLM software.
Experience
- Experience in the Nuclear and Civil Engineering industries.
- Knowledge of hardware and software engineering lifecycles.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
