Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Conference & Events Supervisor outside Burton upon Trent to lead banqueting operations and deliver memorable guest experiences. You’ll supervise event execution, coordinate setups, and work closely with Food & Beverage and other teams to ensure flawless deliveries.

You’ll manage banquet staff, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to a high-performing hospitality team in a property with extensive meeting and events facilities.

Responsibilities

• Delight our guests: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special
• Supervise execution of events: Plan, organize, and execute various banquet events such as breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
• Ensure a flawless event setup: Oversee the setup of function rooms, ensuring linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware are arranged according to event specifications and quality standards
• Collaborate for success: Communicate event specifications, procedures, and updates to relevant teams in Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping
• Oversee event breakdown: Ensure function rooms are properly broken down and all equipment is stored correctly for the next event
• Manage team performance: Oversee banquet staff, including scheduling, supervision, coaching, and recognition
• Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing

This unique Hilton property based outside Burton upon Trent (DE13 9PD) is the home of the 28 English Football Teams while also offering the opportunity to work for the biggest player in global hospitality, Hilton.
