What will I be doing?
You will be an integral part of the hotel's Conference and Events team, leading the bar service at various events such as gala dinners, awards ceremonies, banquets, and business conferences. Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining high-quality, efficient bar service standards
- Ensuring guest service standards are set, implemented, and evaluated
- Setting up the outlet according to operational standards
- Complying with licensing regulations and hotel procedures related to alcohol service and conducting staff training accordingly
- Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all beverages, their preparation, presentation, and staff training to possess and apply this knowledge
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, and training staff accordingly
- Maintaining professional appearance and uniform standards among team members
- Evaluating team performance to ensure high service standards
- Conducting regular appraisals and providing performance feedback
- Supporting staff development through Personal Development Plans and training programs
- Handling staff shortages and reporting absences
- Enforcing disciplinary policies when needed
- Delegating responsibilities appropriately within the team
- Completing administrative tasks related to staff management
- Producing revenue forecasts and communicating them to relevant departments
- Maximizing revenue through upselling and high service standards
- Working with cost control to manage stock and maintain profit margins
