Position: Condition Based Maintenance Manager
Location: South Coast (Kent, Sussex, Hampshire) - 3 office/sites, with remaining work from home. Driving license essential.
Permanent role
Hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £58K, depending on skills and experience
You will lead and manage a team of CBM engineers and analysts, ensuring proper training in reliability engineering, condition-based maintenance techniques, data analytics, and asset management best practices. Collaborating with Reliability Engineers, you will implement CBM strategies, monitor asset health, and report on KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs.
Applying your experience in asset management, you will deploy condition monitoring tools, analyze data, forecast failures, and optimize maintenance schedules. You will review performance data to identify weaknesses and improve CBM programs, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Producing reports and summaries for senior management on CBM effectiveness, improvements, and challenges will be key.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, proficiency in vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and familiarity with Reliability Analysis Techniques (RCM, FMECA), predictive analytics, machine learning, and failure prediction models.
As an organized, logical thinker with excellent planning skills, you will manage your time effectively. Your engaging communication style will help shape a new CBM team of route-based engineers, supporting our investment plans for AMP 8 and transitioning maintenance management from reactive to planned approaches.
