Job summary

Express Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor with hands-on expertise in concrete repair and waterproofing to oversee specialist maintenance and repair works. You will ensure safety and compliance of Concrete Repair Operatives and contractors while working away from home on UK projects.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Concrete Repair is a must.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Confined Spaces is strongly preferred.
• SSSTS/SMSTS certification is required.
• Issue of EUSR Water Hygiene Card preferred and CSCS card required.
• IPAF and PASMA tickets should be held, with harness and rope access training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site specialist maintenance and repair works for concrete structures.
• Ensure safety and compliance of all Concrete Repair Operatives and contractors.
• Manage works away from home, coordinating travel and site logistics.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings; set team objectives.
• Assist SHEQ Manager with incident investigations and reporting when required.

As a result, they are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor with proven hands‑on experience in concrete repair and waterproofing of structures.

The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing site specialist maintenance and repair works, whilst also ensuring the safety and compliance of all Concrete Repair Operatives and contractors. Due to the nature of the role, you will be working away from home up to a week at a time, depending on the size and scale of the project.

In return the successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary of up to c£60,000 alongside various other benefits including a company van, fuel card, working away food allowance, lodgings paid upfront, double time overtime weekend rates, annual bonus and increasing long service holiday entitlement.

Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 2 in Concrete Repair required
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Confined Spaces strongly preferred
• Holder of SSSTS/SMSTS certification
• Holder of in date EUSR Water Hygiene Card preferred
• Holder of CSCS card
• Holder of in date IPAF and PASMA tickets
• Trained in safe use of harness and rope fall access
• Full UK driving license essential
• Attend customer sites throughout the UK, typically water treatment plants and clean water sites
• Oversee and contribute to all structural maintenance and concrete repair tasks, including the waterproofing of structures such as concrete storage tanks and water towers
• Ensure all Concrete Repair Operatives on site possess their necessary tickets, including IPAF, safety passports, EUSR and CSCS cards
• Carry out all necessary site inductions and toolbox talks
• Perform daily briefing meetings and set individual and team‑based objectives
• Ensure all site works are completed safely, on time and to specification
• Assist SHEQ Manager with site investigations into accidents and near misses, whilst also producing incident reports if required
