Job summary

Arup is seeking a Concrete Materials Specialist to strengthen our Materials team within the Specialist Technology, Analytics and Research group. The role focuses on providing technical advisory input across concrete technology, durability, and low-carbon concrete strategies, while supporting research and project work globally.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in civil, structural or materials engineering; doctorate advantageous but not essential.
• Strong foundation in concrete technology, standards and construction; interest in specialising further.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory input across concrete technology, durability and low-carbon strategies.
• Contribute to research projects and support innovative concrete materials approaches.
• Engage with a range of buildings and infrastructure projects and be part of project teams.
• Help clients optimise performance and life-cycle management of concrete assets.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients globally, with possible overseas travel.
