Job description

GLL is looking for a Concierge at Bodmin Leisure Centre in Cornwall, up to 22 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts. If you have a passion for people and can deliver first-class customer service, this is your chance to be part of one of the largest leisure groups in the UK.

As a Concierge, you'll make a difference to every person who walks through our centres, whether through a warm welcome or by selling memberships to enhance their lifestyle.

Our Concierge responds to enquiries, converting them into memberships. They are often a customer's first point of contact; you'll answer calls, handle transactions, address queries, and participate in community outreach projects. Your focus will be on ensuring our customer service remains at the highest level at all times.

What you need:

  • A strong focus on customer service
  • Passion and personality
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Team player mindset
  • Good IT, literacy, numerical, and communication skills
  • Some experience in administration

What you’ll do:

  • Be the first point of contact for customers
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Handle transactions, including setting up direct debits and cash handling
  • Manage membership enquiries and sales
  • Set up equipment
  • Support your team daily, from preparing studios, gyms, or sports halls for activities to maintaining the centre's cleanliness and upkeep
