We are looking for a Concession T300 Stress Engineer to join our aerospace engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing stress and fatigue & damage tolerance assessments to support the evaluation and justification of non-conformities, concessions, repairs, and modifications affecting aircraft structures. The position requires strong experience in Airbus stress methods, concession-related analysis, structural integrity assessment, and Airbus engineering processes across wing airframe programs. If you have solid Airbus stress and concession experience and enjoy working in a collaborative aerospace engineering environment, we’d love to connect with you.
Responsibilities
- Perform static stress analysis and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) assessments to evaluate the impact of non-conformities, repairs, and modifications on primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Apply Airbus stress methods to justify structural assessments and concession-related engineering decisions.
- Support structural justifications for concessions using both hand calculations and finite element analysis.
- Work with knowledge of Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) and Mise Au Point (MAP) activities across wing airframe scope and Airbus programs.
- Understand and assess baseline and certification stress analysis performed for specific work packages.
- Interpret and evaluate concession inputs such as CODs, COIs, COAs, and related engineering data.
- Conduct stress analysis for metallic, composite, and hybrid structures using analytical and numerical methods in line with Airbus engineering and certification standards.
- Use Airbus-specific tools such as ISAMI, GFEM, DFEM, and finite element tools including Patran/Nastran and Hyper Works.
- Prepare, review, and validate concession-related stress outputs such as COS, COI, and other associated deliverables in line with Airbus and airworthiness requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Airbus procedures related to Non-Conformities, Concessions, DQNs, WQNs, Special Instructions, and In-Service Repairs, including standards such as A2406, A2838, A2846, and AS-330-M.
- Ensure adherence to Airbus SAP, PLM, and configuration control processes throughout the analysis and disposition lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with offshore stress teams, ensuring clear technical communication, timely guidance, and smooth execution of deliverables.
- Drive issue resolution by interfacing with design, manufacturing, quality, and configuration management teams.
- Act as a technical representative for onsite-offshore coordination, addressing engineering queries, clarifications, and technical escalations.
- Support the safe operation of Airbus aircraft by ensuring all stress and concession assessments meet structural integrity and airworthiness requirements.
Requirements
- BE / BTech / MTech / MS or equivalent degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in aerospace structural stress and concession analysis.
- Proven experience working on Airbus aircraft programs.
- Strong knowledge of Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) and Mise Au Point (MAP) activities across wing airframe scope and programs.
- Hands‑on experience in applying Airbus stress methods including Static, Fatigue, and Damage Tolerance analysis for concession justifications.
- Strong knowledge of hand calculations and finite element analysis methods.
- Good knowledge of Airbus design and engineering processes and procedures, including RSDP, SIDP, AP, ABD, AIPI, AIPS, and related standards.
- Strong understanding of aerospace design principles and airworthiness requirements.
- Experience using Airbus Supply tools and platforms such as DocMaster, Airnavx, and related systems.
- Experience in ensuring the safe structural operation of Airbus aircraft with respect to structural integrity and certification requirements.
- Prior Airbus Concession Signatory experience is highly preferred.
- Valid Airbus training certifications in SAP, ISAMI, VPM, and PASS SSI.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, multi‑location, and onsite‑offshore engineering environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage technical discussions and escalations with internal stakeholders.
