Job summary

Mamas & Papas in Crawley is seeking a Store Manager to drive store performance and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will lead recruiting, develop a high-performing team, and own day-to-day operations including P&L management.

The role requires a proven retail leadership track record and strong customer service focus. You will responsibly manage stock, cash, and workflows, ensuring 100% adherence to operational processes and brand standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are required.
• Experience managing or deputising in a store or concession.
• Proven track record of driving sales, profit and commercial initiatives in retail.

Role Purpose

As Store Manager you will be fully responsible and accountable for driving and delivering all aspects of the Retail Stores’ KPIs. This includes people management within their store from attraction and recruitment to development, succession planning and effectively addressing underperformance. The store manager will ensure that there is 100% compliance with all operational processes and procedures within the store. As manager they will lead from the front and act as an ambassador for the Company by ensuring that all Mamas & Papas customers receive the very best customer experience.

Role & Responsibilities

Sales & Performance

• Drive sales and profitability by owning the store's P&L
• Analyse trading performance and put action plans in place to hit targets
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners

Customer Experience

• Deliver excellent customer service and make the most of every sales opportunity
• Use customer feedback to keep improving the in-store experience
• Set the standard for shop floor and back-of-house presentation

People Leadership

• Recruit, induct and develop a high-performing team
• Coach and mentor colleagues, and build a strong succession plan
• Keep the team informed and engaged with company goals
• Manage performance fairly and consistently, in line with company policy

Operations

• Oversee cash, stock, payroll and rota planning
• Take full responsibility for Health & Safety, keeping the store safe and welcoming
• Prepare for store visits and follow through on actions

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

What you'll need

• GCSEs in Maths and English
• Experience managing or deputising in a store or concession
