Job summary

Arts Council England is recruiting a Programme Coordinator to support the Directors of Concerts & Touring and Gabrieli Roar. You will help prepare and deliver a full diary of professional and educational projects in the UK and internationally.

You will liaise with venues, arrange travel, manage schedules, and oversee a residential course, ensuring welfare and safeguarding considerations are integrated throughout planning.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
• Creative approach to problem-solving and relationship building with partners.
• Strong communication; literacy and numeracy with budget awareness.
• Proficient IT skills; experience with MS Office and CRM systems.
• Demonstrable arts sector experience, ideally in orchestra or concert management.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with venues, equipment providers and external partners; main point of contact.
• Arrange travel and accommodation for musicians UK and abroad with budget awareness.
• Prepare and circulate management and artist schedules, including riders.
• Oversee the annual residential course and manage pastoral staff for a week of activities.
• Plan nationwide workshops with education organisations within tight budgets.
• Support musicians with tax, visa and work permit paperwork.
• Maintain artist databases and project records with GDPR-compliant care.
• Assist Directors to manage rehearsals, performances, budgets and risk assessments.
• Coordinate post-project evaluations and feedback for future development.
