Cortech Talent Solutions Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an Experienced AI / Machine Learning Engineer for computer vision. You will design, train and deploy ML models behind products translating camera and sensor data into actionable insights relied upon by customers.

You’ll report to the ML/AI Lead and work with hardware and software teams to integrate models into production systems, spanning the full ML lifecycle from data prep to deployment, within a small, collaborative group.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with strong ML focus.
• Solid understanding of deep learning concepts (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers) and practical applications.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strong experience with AWS services (SageMaker, EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Cloud-native development and deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy high-performing ML models for computer vision (image classification, object detection, segmentation, video analysis).
• Carry out data analysis, feature engineering and model selection to optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain scalable ML pipelines using cloud services (AWS SageMaker, EC2, S3, Lambda, Rekognition, MLFlow).
• Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers and product managers to translate requirements into specs.
• Stay updated with CV & ML advances and identify applicable opportunities.
• Contribute to ML infrastructure and best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning.
