Job summary

The Teaching Executives Ltd. is seeking a Computer Science teacher for KS3/KS4, with responsibilities across GCSE and BTEC Level 2. You will plan, deliver, and mark lessons while providing constructive feedback to students, and assess progress through formative and summative methods.

Applicants should hold a PGCE or equivalent, a current DBS, and demonstrate strong knowledge of the British Curriculum. Collaboration with colleagues and leading enrichment activities are encouraged.

Qualifications

Job description

We are currently working with a School who are looking to appoint a teacher of Computer Science who can teach KS3/KS4 students. The role involves teaching GCSE and BTEC Level 2.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, delivering and marking lessons.
• Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally
• Summative and formative assessment, guide progress through marking and feedback
• Attending departmental meetings and communicating effectively with parents.
• Encouraged to share best practice within and beyond the department
• Lead extracurricular enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Successful candidates should hold a PGCE with a relevant bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.
• Hold an up-to-date DBS certificate
• Possess an excellent subject knowledge
• Have excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum
• Maintain exceptional classroom practice
• Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues
• Payment scale advertised is based upon the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6. Actual pay is based upon relevant teaching experience
