Job summary

The Teaching Executives Ltd is assisting a school in appointing a Computer Science teacher to cover KS3/KS4, including GCSE and BTEC Level 2. You will plan, deliver and assess lessons, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress.

You will work with colleagues, lead extracurricular activities and communicate with parents as needed. Applicants should hold a PGCE or degree in education, be DBS checked and have strong knowledge of the British curriculum and outstanding classroom practice.

Job description

We are currently working with a School who are looking to appoint a teacher of Computer Science who can teach KS3/KS4 students. The role involves teaching GCSE and BTEC Level 2.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, delivering and marking lessons.
• Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally
• Summative and formative assessment, guide progress through marking and feedback
• Attending departmental meetings and communicating effectively with parents.
• Encouraged to share best practice within and beyond the department
• Lead extracurricular enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom
• Payment scale advertised is based upon the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6. Actual pay is based upon relevant teaching experience

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Successful candidates should hold a PGCE with a relevant bachelor's degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.
• Hold an up-to-date DBS certificate
• Possess an excellent subject knowledge
• Have excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum
• Maintain exceptional classroom practice
