Job summary

Cheltenham Private School is seeking a knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join its teaching team in Cheltenham. The role focuses on delivering engaging CS lessons, developing students' programming and computational thinking skills, and inspiring problem-solvers and innovators.

You will contribute to a forward-looking CS curriculum, support student progress, and promote digital citizenship and safeguarding practices in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Software Engineering or related subject.
• Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with the curriculum and objectives.
• Teach programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems and other CS topics.
• Help students develop practical coding skills using Python/Java/JavaScript and digital tools.
• Prepare students for GCSE/A-Level CS where applicable.
