DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To produce machined parts using the most suitable methods by either CNC or manually operated equipment to required standard & quality within given time period.
2. To program CNC machines from manufacturing drawings, set up, operate, maintain quality and safety standards, keep records, and maintain equipment and supplies.
3. Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving CAM part programs.
4. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
5. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance records, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs where necessary.
6. Continuously monitor and improve the working environment in conjunction with the team.
7. Actively participate in personal development plans as agreed with the departmental manager.
