Qualifications

Base pay range

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Mechanical Engineering Recruitment Consultant

LOCATION: Burnley

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client specialises in metalwork and fabrication, and they are looking to take on a CAD Technician on a permanent basis near Burnley.

The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
• Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
• Experience Designing and working with Metal materials
• Any previous experience of working with bespoke metalwork, structural steel or similar would be beneficial
• Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
• Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

The CAD Technician role will involve:

• Working within the current engineering team with other CAD Technicians
• Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
• Liaising with manufacturing providers
• Being involved in final assembly of products
• Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
• Updating 3D models and drawings
• Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
• Checking drawings for sign off
• Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
