Job summary

Austin Banks is seeking a CAD Design Technician in Doncaster to produce detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for standard and bespoke machinery.

You will collaborate with sales, production and installation teams, visit client sites for surveys, and contribute to ongoing development and engineering improvements.

Qualifications

• HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (prefer Autodesk Inventor; SolidWorks/Solid Edge considered).
• Knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical component, assembly, and structural drawings.
• Create accurate 3D models and BOMs.
• Work on standard and bespoke machinery designs.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and installation teams.
• Occasionally visit client sites to assist with surveys.
