Job summary

Nextech Group Limited in Kettering is seeking a CAD Designer to join our Design & Engineering team. The role involves creating 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and supporting production and prototypes.

This position is suitable for a graduate or junior CAD professional, with training and development on offer to grow skills in engineering and manufacturing documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor desirable.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of engineering/manufacturing drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Product Design qualification beneficial.
• Graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Sage 200, sheet metal or fabrication would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

An established and growing engineering and manufacturing business in Kettering is looking for a CAD Designer to join its Design & Engineering team.

This is a great opportunity for either a junior CAD professional or graduate looking to develop their career, as well as someone with a couple of years' industry experience.

The role

• Create 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
• Produce detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings
• Create BOMs and technical documentation
• Update existing drawings and manage revisions
• Work closely with engineering, production and project teams
• Support new product development and prototypes

What we're looking for
