  • PhD in computational social science or a closely related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of computational social science methods.
  • Understanding of pluralistic and interdisciplinary social science.
  • Experience designing and delivering modules in relevant area.
  • Commitment to methodological innovation addressing social science questions.
  • Experience with diverse data, including born-digital data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collegiality and teamwork ability.
  • Experience with grant applications and securing funding.
  • Developing record of high-quality publications suitable for career stage.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake high-quality research in computational social science individually and collaboratively.
  • Lead and contribute to grant applications and dissemination of findings.
  • Build research collaborations within the Faculty and with non-academic partners.
  • Develop teaching and training provision in computational social science with colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director and Faculty Research Team to identify opportunities.
  • Undertake centre administration and contribute to institutional development.
