Qualifications

• A PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, ML, statistics, physics, math, CS, or related field.
• Strong experience analysing high-dimensional biological data, especially single-cell and/or spatial omics.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud or HPC environments.
• Experience applying ML methods to biological datasets.
• Familiarity with PyTorch or JAX.
• Solid statistical modelling and computational data analysis.
• Experience with multimodal datasets is highly desirable.
• Industry experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyse single-cell, spatial, and multi-omics data to uncover disease mechanisms.
• Benchmark and apply foundation models for biological data analysis.
• Develop scalable computational workflows and reproducible pipelines.
• Collaborate with AI/ML scientists to improve model evaluation and interpretation.
• Support translational and target discovery projects with analyses.
• Design analyses with experimental scientists and prioritise follow-ups.
• Contribute to standards for computational biology and reproducible research.
• Communicate findings to interdisciplinary teams.
