Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is helping a client in Newhaven recruit for a Compounder / Filling Line Operative. This hands-on role supports production, with a 12-week temporary period and a path to permanent employment based on performance.

Shift options include fixed early or late shifts, with 05:00am starts for early shifts. Pay starts at £13.45 per hour during the temporary period, plus a 10% late-shift premium on permanent employment and overtime at 1.5x after 37.5 hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse or similar hands-on environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
• Comfortable working with measurements and basic mathematics.
• Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and moving products.
• Able to follow processes, instructions and procedures accurately.
• comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day production and filling operations.
• Accurately measure, handle and prepare products in line with set procedures.
• Use weighing scales and production equipment accurately.
• Follow production instructions and processes to ensure products meet the required standards.
• Complete quality and data checks, ensuring information and measurements are accurate.
• Support the filling line and wider production team as required.
• Safely lift and move products and materials throughout the production process.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet production requirements and maintain high standards of quality.
