Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a Compounder to support the flavor creation and sampling team by preparing flavors for shipping and labeling following proper procedures. The role is based in Milton Keynes and involves working onsite five days per week.

You will contribute to traceability, quality control, and cooperation with production and sensory panels, while developing through our training programs and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Scientific background with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• High school education or GED (associate degree would be an advantage).
• Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
• Laboratory experience and knowledge in health and safety would be an advantage.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure traceability and quality of Compound samples according to formulation (liquid and powder).
• Assist in evaluating raw materials for organoleptic quality and support flavor creation.
• Maintain sample KPIs and prioritise tasks with initiative while keeping a clean lab environment.
• Check stock levels and replenish through compounding or liaison with production.
• Pack and ship samples using relevant logistics IT systems and complete customs documentation.
• Participate in Sensory Panels and maintain professional relationships within the team.

Job description

We are looking for a Compounder to join our team to support the flavor creation and sampling team by compounding, labelling and preparing flavors for shipping following the appropriate procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Work to guarantee the traceability and quality of Compound samples with consistent accuracy and precision according to formulation (liquid and powder)
• Assist in the evaluation of raw materials for organoleptic quality and specification review and support flavor creation
• Keep the sample KPIs on track and prioritise tasks by using your own initiative to solve issues quickly according to agreed priorities andmaintain a clean work environment by observing all laboratory protocols
• Check stock levels, replenishing where required though compounding or liaising with production
• Pack and ship samples using relevant logistical IT systems and complete document filing for customs purposes
• Participate in Sensory Panelsand maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with team members

What you’ll bring:

• A Scientific background with anability toperform basic mathematical calculations, including percentage calculations and conversion between imperial and metric units of measure
• Minimum ofHigh school education or GED. Associate degree would be an advantage
• An ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment
• No prior experience required, however anylaboratory experience and knowledge in health and safety would be an advantage
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and be able to occasionally lift up-to 25lbs
