Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Compounder to support the flavor creation and sampling team. You will compound, label, and prepare flavors for shipping, ensuring traceability and adherence to procedures.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school education, an understanding of basic math, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced lab environment. No prior experience is required, but lab safety knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High school education or GED. Associate degree would be an advantage.
• An ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
• No prior experience required, however any laboratory experience and knowledge in health and safety would be an advantage.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and be able to occasionally lift up-to 25lbs.
• A Scientific background with an ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentage calculations and conversion between imperial and metric units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Work to guarantee the traceability and quality of Compound samples with consistent accuracy and precision according to formulation (liquid and powder).
• Assist in the evaluation of raw materials for organoleptic quality and specification review and support flavor creation.
• Keep the sample KPIs on track and prioritise tasks by using your own initiative to solve issues quickly according to agreed priorities and maintain a clean work environment by observing all laboratory protocols.
• Check stock levels, replenishing where required through compounding or liaising with production.
• Pack and ship samples using relevant logistical IT systems and complete document filing for customs purposes.
• Participate in Sensory Panels and maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with team members.
