Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for Compound Drivers for our client in Sheerness. Immediate Starts Available. You will move new vehicles around the compound, perform inspections and record any damage, road test on approved routes, and ensure vehicles are prepared for delivery.

Shift is Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with weekly pay at £12.71 per hour. Benefits include a company pension, 28 days paid holiday, and 24/7 support from The Best Connection.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Licence held for at least 3 years.
• Able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• No DD or DR endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Move new vehicles around the compound.
• Carry out detailed vehicle inspections.
• Record any existing damage such as scratches or scuffs.
• Road test vehicles on approved routes.
• De-wrap and prepare vehicles for delivery.
• Fuel or charge vehicles as needed.
• Position vehicles in loading lanes.

Duties

• Moving new vehicles around the compound
• Carrying out detailed vehicle inspections
• Recording any existing damage such as scratches or scuffs
• Road testing vehicles on approved routes
• De-wrapping and preparing vehicles
• Fuelling or charging vehicles
• Positioning vehicles in loading lanes

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Licence held for at least 3 years
• Comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication skills
• No DD or DR endorsements
