Igloo Ltd in Thurleigh (Bedford area) is seeking a Compound Driver to move vehicles within a large compound, including workshop entries and bay parking, supporting a leading automotive client. You will handle manual, automatic, and semi-automatic transmissions, inspect vehicles for damage before moving, and position vehicles safely in bays.

• Hold a valid UK driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than six points.
• Be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
• Comfortable driving a diverse range of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• Experience with both manual and automatic gearboxes is necessary.
• Previous professional driving experience is advantageous.

The Role:

As a Compound Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Moving vehicles within a large compound, including workshop entries and bay parking.
• Handling various transmissions (manual, automatic, semi-automatic) and inspecting vehicles for damage before moving.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions, with safety boots and car-friendly workwear required.

The Person:

• Hold a valid UK driving licence for a minimum of two years, with no more than six points for minor offences.
• At least 21 years of age, for insurance purposes.
• Comfortable driving a diverse range of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• Experience with both manual and automatic gearboxes is necessary.
• Previous professional driving experience is advantageous.
