Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in Cardiff, seeks a Class 1 Driver. The role offers stability and progression within a leading dealer group, with a salary of £28,764 per year on experience and no weekend work.

Duties include collecting, delivering and presenting vehicles, completing inspections and paperwork, planning movements, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with an active Class 1 licence, ideally with minimal points.
• Organised, reliable, and capable of working independently.
• Experience operating a vehicle transporter and knowledge of tachograph regulations desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth collection, delivery, and presentation of commercial vehicles to customers, suppliers, and third-party providers.
• Complete full vehicle inspections, report any damage or mechanical issues.
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork associated with vehicle collections and deliveries.
• Plan vehicle movements efficiently to optimise workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles in conjunction with the valeting team.
• Ensure company vehicles adhere to legal requirements and are well-maintained.
• Safely operate the vehicle transporter, ensuring tachograph compliance and road safety regulations are met.
• Deliver exemplary customer service during vehicle handovers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vehicle collections and deliveries per day.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership based in Cardiff, for the position of Class 1 Driver.

This Class 1 Driver role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals seeking a stable and rewarding career within a leading commercial vehicle retailer.

• Salary of £28,764 per annum, dependent on experience
• No weekend work, with early finishes every Friday
• Full in-house and manufacturer-approved training programmes

• Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm; Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm - 22 days annual holiday plus bank holidays (with holiday in lieu for any bank holidays worked) Duties of a Class 1 Driver:
