Job description

Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is a dynamic hub of innovation, consistently pushing the boundaries across land, sea, and air by drawing on Formula One expertise and precision. Our project portfolio is unparalleled, including the groundbreaking RB17 Hypercar and a Red Bull-commissioned submarine, among other cutting-edge projects.

We are looking for a Composite Laminator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a working environment and organization in line with ISO certification and 6S lean methodology.
2. Accurately and promptly input data into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & Production Management tools, accounting for all productive time.
3. Prepare Production Tooling according to Standard Production Specification (SPS).
4. Manufacture composite tooling following technical instruction methods and signoff approval processes.
5. Manufacture composite components following technical instruction methods and signoff approval processes.
6. Operate laser projection equipment to guide and confirm key measurement inputs.
7. Carry out Romer measurements and Laser Tracker scans to define or confirm critical feature positions.
8. Input data accurately and promptly into the Manufacturing History Record (MHR), ensuring each part is documented.
9. Perform all tasks with the aim of achieving quality targets and right first time (RFT).
10. Ensure F1TS timesheets are accurately and promptly filled out, accounting for all working hours and shifts.

Key Competencies:

1. Ability to read and interpret technical instructions (drawings, laminating manuals, etc.) to carry out laminating tasks correctly and on schedule.
2. Strong laminating skills with good technical knowledge of pre-preg materials, laminate specifications, weaving orientations, use of herringbone patterns, complex layup procedures, and techniques, including use of mandrels and achieving visual carbon detailing.
3. Extensive control, knowledge, and competency in using hand tools and equipment relevant to laminating tasks.
4. Proficient in vacuum bagging a wide range of components and molds using industry-standard techniques and procedures.
5. Ability to utilize MES and MRP systems to log activities and interrogate job content.
6. Competent in using laminating technology such as Laser Projection, Romer Arms, and Laser Tracker scanners.
