Job description

Red Bull Advanced Technologies - Composite Laminator

Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is a hub of innovation, pushing boundaries across land, sea, and air, leveraging Formula One expertise. Our portfolio includes the RB17 Hypercar, a submarine, and other cutting-edge projects.

We are seeking a Composite Laminator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a working environment aligned with ISO certification and 6S lean methodology.
2. Input data accurately and promptly into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & Production Management tools, accounting for all productive time.
3. Prepare Production Tooling according to Standard Production Specification (SPS).
4. Manufacture composite tooling following technical instructions and signoff procedures.
5. Manufacture composite components per technical instructions and signoff procedures.
6. Operate laser projection equipment to guide and confirm key measurements.
7. Perform Romer measurements & Laser Tracker scans to define or confirm critical features.
8. Enter data accurately and timely into the Manufacturing History Record (MHR).
9. Perform all tasks with the aim of achieving quality targets and right first time (RFT).
10. Ensure F1TS timesheet is accurately and promptly filled, accounting for all working hours and shifts.

Key Competencies:

1. Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, drawings, and laminating manuals to carry out tasks correctly and on schedule.
2. Effective laminating skills with knowledge of pre-preg materials, laminate specifications, weaving orientations, and complex layup techniques, including visual carbon detailing.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment relevant to laminating tasks.
4. Skill in vacuum bagging components using industry-standard techniques.
5. Experience with MES and MRP systems for logging activities and interrogating job content.
6. Competence in using laminating technologies such as Laser Projection, Romer Arms, and Laser Tracker scanners.
