Duration: 12 Months

What You Will Do:

As a Development Engineer in the team, you will be expected to have relevant development experience, knowledge of IC engines, and be able to lead, plan, and execute challenging tasks and projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Execution of Core Engine System validation activities
• Resolving technical issues in new product development
• Conducting FMEA on components and systems to identify and mitigate design risks and determine validation needs
• Planning and executing validation tests
• Conducting component and system design reviews
• Keeping peers, team leader, and management updated on progress
• Supporting resolution of production, test, and field issues, diagnosing root causes, implementing containment actions, and developing permanent corrective actions. Collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders.

What You Have:

Basic requirements

• Technical background (HNC or technical degree preferred in mechanical or automotive engineering) or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of one or more of the following core engine systems: Rotating Systems, Valvetrain, Castings, Lubrication, Breather and Cooling systems, Bolted joints, Sealing experience
• Good understanding of manufacturing principles and processes
• Development experience of mechanical components and systems, including rig and system testing
• Self-motivated with ability to manage and deliver tasks
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork
• Knowledge of industrial engines in diesel or alternative fuels
• Experience with 8D problem solving, DVP&R, and FMEA creation and maintenance
• Experience participating in FMEA
• Familiarity with Team Centre or similar data management software
• Experience with APQP methodology in new design development
• Proficiency with Microsoft O365, including Teams
