Network Plus is seeking a Compliance Team Leader to oversee the Streetworks Compliance Team in the United Utilities environment. The role focuses on ensuring safety, regulatory adherence and rigorous documentation within SLA, while fostering cross-department collaboration.

You will mentor staff, communicate with the client, and drive continuous improvement to meet evolving legislation and code of practice requirements.

• Mentor, support and manage the performance of the Streetworks Compliance Team
• Communicate and build relationships with the client
• Identify non-compliant sites and ensure safe, compliant practices
• Ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works code of practice
• Keep documentation in order and within SLA
• Provide updates to compliance status and issues to senior management and clients
• Conduct internal checks, track non-compliance and drive improvements

Compliance Team Leader

Compensation: £34,000 - £37,000 / year

Description

As the Streetworks Compliance Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operational activities are safe, compliant, and aligned with all relevant legislation and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice. This role requires strong regulatory knowledge, analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality assurance and documentation within SLA.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor, support and manage the performance of the Streetworks Compliance Team
• Communicating / building relationships with client
• Identifying non-compliant sites, we are working safe and according to legislation
• Ensuring compliance is ongoing with new legislation & Safety at Street Works and Road Works code of practice
• Documentation is in order and within SLA
• Reporting, providing updates to compliance status and issues to senior management, gathering data and present to NWP and Client
• Conducting internal checks, tracking non-compliance, and performing quality assurance, support, drive improvements

• Deep understanding of legislation and Safety at Street Works and Road Works code of practice.
• Creative and strategic thinking to resolve compliance challenges
• Building relationships and working collaboratively across departments.
• Managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Industry experience in a compliance environment.
• Good communication and team player able to build networks both internally and externally with experience of managing a team.
