Job summary

Safetykleen in Bristol is seeking an experienced Compliance & Operations Supervisor to oversee health, safety, compliance, environmental standards, and warehouse and branch operations. You’ll work closely with our HSEQ team to maintain high standards and drive practical improvements.

You will lead audits, risk assessments and corrective actions while managing stock, inventory processes and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in health & safety, compliance or HSEQ.
  • Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions.
  • Good knowledge of H&S and environmental legislation.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Experience overseeing warehouse, stock or inventory processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence to challenge unsafe or non-compliant practices and drive improvements.
  • Experience with waste, environmental, fleet or transport compliance would be beneficial.
  • Experience leading or supporting a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of health & safety and compliance across the branch, ensuring legislation, company standards and ISO requirements are met.
  • Lead audits, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions, working closely with the HSEQ team.
  • Oversee warehouse and stock operations, ensuring safe storage, accurate inventory and effective processes.
  • Manage environmental and waste compliance, including the site Environmental Permit, waste segregation and storage.
  • Oversee fleet and facilities compliance, including inspections, servicing, MOTs, Operator Licence requirements and equipment checks.
  • Lead and support a small team, ensuring colleagues are trained and equipped to work safely and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, compliance and operational efficiency across the branch.

This is a varied role combining health & safety, compliance, environmental standards, warehouse and stock management, fleet and day-to-day branch operations. You’ll play a key role in keeping the branch safe, compliant and running efficiently - working closely with our HSEQ team to maintain high standards, identify risks and drive practical improvements. About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong health & safety and compliance experience with practical operational knowledge. You may have a background in HSEQ, compliance, manufacturing, waste, logistics, warehouse or branch operations, but you’ll need to be confident taking ownership of compliance within a busy operational environment.

  • Strong experience in health & safety, compliance or HSEQ.
  • Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions.
  • Good knowledge of H&S and environmental legislation.
  • Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
