Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and funding requirements.
  • Audit participant and employer data using internal systems and validate evidence against programme requirements.
  • Prepare records for internal, external and quality assurance audits, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Support performance and financial claims by checking and approving evidence prior to submission.
  • Respond to queries from colleagues, partners and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Raise purchase orders and payments using internal financial systems.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Work to agreed targets, deadlines and service standards while maintaining confidentiality and data security.

Job description

The Growth Company's (GC) Employment team has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join the Jobs Guarantee programme.

Support Young People to gain valuable work experience.

The Jobs Guarantee is a government-backed programme designed to help young people aged 18 to 24 overcome long-term unemployment. Through fully funded, six-month paid placements, participants gain valuable work experience, training, mentoring, and tailored support to help them build confidence, develop new skills, and move into sustainable employment. Placements are paid at the National Minimum Wage for up to 25 hours per week. Employers taking part gain the chance to reduce recruitment costs, bring in fresh ideas and develop talent for the future.

Please note that this role is being advertised subject to contract award, until an outcome is confirmed, your application will be treated as speculative.
Key Responsibilities:

  • You have experience supporting compliance processes within a regulated or publicly funded environment.
  • You are a strong communicator who can build positive working relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • You are proactive, adaptable and able to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • You demonstrate values-led behaviour and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of compliance processes, audit requirements and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and computerised management information systems.
  • Ability to analyse data accurately and identify risks, trends and anomalies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to work to targets, key performance indicators and strict deadlines.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of GDPR, data security requirements and information governance principles.
