We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) with a successful track record to join our team. The role involves ensuring continued compliance by contract managing service providers and driving the client's strategic approach to fire safety compliance across our estate.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will be the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety, overseeing the provision, management, and quality assurance of an end-to-end Fire Risk Management service. You will shape and oversee the delivery of fire property compliance and asset management strategies to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with legislation including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, and Client Fire Policy.

Your responsibilities include managing risk assessments, developing fire safety policies, ensuring legal compliance, collaborating with teams, overseeing maintenance programs, and maintaining a safe environment for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and manage workload to meet or exceed client and contractor KPIs and SLAs.
• Lead fire safety compliance programs across all sites.
• Review and maintain fire risk assessments and audit logs to identify hazards.
• Develop, review, and implement fire safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
• Liaise with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
• Provide fire safety training and advice to staff.
• Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on fire safety laws and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and facilities teams.
• Chair fire-related meetings and ensure issues are addressed.
• Provide leadership in fire compliance management.
• Build relationships for knowledge transfer and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
• Proven experience in fire safety management or compliance roles (minimum 3 years), preferably in local authority or educational settings.
• Qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, IFE certifications, or equivalent.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and emergency services is advantageous.
• Ability to develop risk management strategies.
