Job summary

Broadgate is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory engagement activities within a UK financial services context. You will provide strategic insight on emerging regulatory and policy developments and act as a 2LoD subject matter expert.

You will monitor regulatory changes, coordinate external engagement with regulators and industry bodies, and support senior leaders with briefing materials and responses to consultations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing regulatory engagement activities in UK financial services.
• Strong relationships with regulators, policymakers, industry bodies.
• Experience representing organisations in external forums and influencing policy discussions.
• Excellent knowledge of current and emerging regulatory issues impacting investment, wealth management, or broader financial services markets.

As a compliance manager you will manage regulatory engagement activities, providing strategic insight on emerging regulatory and policy developments.

Working as part of the second line of defence (2LoD), you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments, coordinating external engagement with regulators and industry bodies.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong regulatory expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and significant experience engaging with regulatory and industry stakeholders.

Some Key Responsibilities

• Proven ability to analyse complex regulatory and policy developments
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organisation.
• Confident communicator capable of constructively challenging and influencing stakeholders.
