Job description

We are inviting applications for the Compliance Manager position at an international bank based in London. This role offers significant growth potential and reports directly to the Head of Compliance.

Job Purpose:

Assist the Head of Compliance in overseeing, managing, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across Retail, Corporate, and Treasury sectors. Act as the Data Protection Officer and handle daily compliance activities.

Areas of Responsibility

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PRA/FCA rules, including Conduct Risk, Consumer Duty, TCF, MiFID II, EMIR, PSD II, and CASS. Stay informed of regulatory updates and assess their impact on the bank.
• Conduct regular risk-based monitoring to evaluate the embedding of compliance frameworks, such as SMCR and CASS.
• Serve as the Data Protection Officer, oversee data protection controls, and ensure staff training on compliance topics.
• Assist in maintaining regulatory relationships and reviewing regulator reports.
• Review and approve financial promotions in line with regulatory standards.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to governing bodies, keeping them informed of regulatory developments and the bank's compliance status.
• Manage regulatory notifications via the PRA/FCA online platforms.
• Promptly address or escalate regulatory breaches, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Share compliance knowledge effectively across staff and foster a culture of compliance.
• Undertake other compliance projects as directed by the Head of Compliance.
• Support treasury-related compliance and act as a backup for CASS matters.
