Job description

Totum is currently working with a leading law firm to recruit a Finance Compliance Manager. This is a fully remote role with the opportunity to make a real impact from day one.

You’ll be responsible for managing a small reconciliation team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and strengthening processes to prevent and manage financial breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, support, and develop a small reconciliation team
• Ensure compliance with financial regulatory obligations, including breach management
• Implement and improve financial controls and compliance processes
• Maintain and monitor breach registers, ensuring appropriate action is taken
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to promote best practice
• Drive continuous improvement and support the growth of the team, including the current supervisor

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules – essential
• Experience in a finance compliance or risk role within a law firm
• Proven team management or leadership experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Analytical, organised, and confident in improving and embedding processes
• ILFM qualification – desirable but not essential
