Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Property Management company for the role of Compliance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading organization that ensures residential and commercial buildings run smoothly, remain well-maintained, and provide residents with a seamless, high-quality living experience. This position plays a vital role in upholding industry standards, reducing liabilities, and ensuring a secure and regulated environment for tenants, partners, and property staff.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies aligned with block management, property law, and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, compile audit reports, and monitor corrective actions.
  • Track changes in relevant laws (e.g., fire safety, leasehold reform, landlord & tenant regulations) and assist in updating internal policies accordingly.
  • Coordinate fire risk assessments, fire door surveys, and inspections, and oversee any required remedial works.
  • Manage testing and inspection programs for fire alarms and emergency lighting in accordance with British Standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, including regular inspections and documentation.
  • Oversee water safety and hygiene programs in line with Approved Code of Practice L8.
  • Administer passenger lift safety protocols in compliance with LOLER.
  • Coordinate portable appliance testing and fixed electrical inspections in accordance with NIC EIC standards.
  • Proactively address new compliance demands arising from legislative changes and evolving industry best practices.
  • Verify contractor and supplier compliance, including insurance documentation and accreditation status.
  • Contribute to health & safety compliance through regular risk assessments, fire safety checks, and emergency protocols.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of compliance training for employees and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in investigating compliance breaches, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective measures.

Main Skills/Requirements:

  • Experience in compliance, block/property management, or a related field (but not essential).
  • Solid understanding of property legislation, health & safety standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Confident communicator, capable of engaging professionally with residents, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with compliance management systems is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively to team goals.
