Job summary

Insight Select is seeking a Compliance Manager for a Local Authority environment in Morden. This senior role oversees a large property portfolio to ensure statutory, regulatory and best-practice compliance, with a hybrid working pattern (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

The role requires recent Local Authority experience and solid knowledge of gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, and related compliance areas, plus contractor management and governance expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contractors, consultants and compliance specialists.
• Experience overseeing a varied and complex property portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of property compliance across a diverse portfolio.
• Oversee statutory compliance programmes, inspections, testing and remedial works.
• Manage and monitor external compliance contractors and consultants.
• Develop and maintain effective compliance processes, policies and tracking systems.
• Ensure accurate compliance records, certification and data are maintained.
• Conduct audits and inspections and identify areas requiring corrective action.
• Produce clear performance, risk and compliance reports for senior stakeholders.
• Develop KPIs and monitor contractor performance and service delivery.
• Manage compliance-related procurement and contract management activity.

Compliance Manager – Local Authority

Contract: 3–6 months

Day Rate: £500 per day Umbrella

Location: Morden

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days from home

• Experience managing contractors, consultants and compliance specialists.
• Experience overseeing a varied and complex property portfolio.
