Job summary

Irwin & Colton Limited is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the development and implementation of group-wide compliance strategies across a sustainability services provider. The role focuses on establishing robust management systems and implementing ISO standards.

You will oversee audits, drive certification programs, and support business growth while maintaining a strong emphasis on governance, risk, and ethics across diverse operations in London or Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and improving ISO management systems.
• Auditing methodologies and compliance assurance experience.
• Stakeholder engagement across functions.
• Experience in waste/heavy manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to lead the development and implementation of compliance strategies across a leading sustainability services provider. This role offers the chance to shape management systems, drive certification accreditations, and support continued business expansion.

The key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining a Group-wide compliance framework aligned with business objectives.
• Leading the implementation and management of ISO standards, initially ISO 27001 and ISO 45001, across the organisation.
• Overseeing internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed promptly.
• Supporting tender responses by providing accurate compliance and certification information.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and integrating management systems from acquired businesses.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in managing and improving ISO management systems and certification processes.
• Strong understanding of audit methodologies and compliance assurance.
• Desirable experience working within the waste, heavy manufacturing or a related heavy industrial environment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across various functions.
• Relevant professional qualifications in compliance, auditing, or management systems.
