Job summary

Apex Resource Management Ltd in Leamington Spa is seeking a Compliance Engineer to drive quality, safety and environmental standards across the business. You will maintain and develop management systems and support regulatory compliance.

You will conduct ISO audits (9001/14001/45001), monitor legislation, provide guidance, and ensure records and evidence are up to date. Travel to sites and collaboration with teams will be required to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting internal and external audits to ISO standards.
• Ability to maintain and improve management systems and compliance processes.
• Strong knowledge of packaging regulations, WEEE and Batteries directives.
• Capable of tracking legislation and advising on regulatory changes.
• Experience with corrective and preventative action processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and support audits against ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Engineer:

• Provide guidance across the business on legislative and regulatory compliance matters.
• Maintain compliance records, procedures, documentation and supporting evidence.
• Identify non-compliance and work collaboratively with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Support environmental, health & safety, quality and wider legislative compliance requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable packaging regulations, the WEEE Directive and Batteries Regulations.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
• Support compliance assessments, audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to other sites as required to undertake audits and support consistent compliance standards.
• Work with internal teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are understood and effectively managed.
• Promote a positive culture of compliance, continuous improvement and high standards.
