Job summary

Ashby Finance is seeking a Compliance Engineer to drive quality, safety and environmental standards across the business. You will maintain and develop management systems, conduct audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout operations.

Working with internal teams and external auditors, you will identify improvements, implement corrective actions and promote a culture of continuous improvement while supporting site visits to ensure consistent

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting internal and external audits against ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience maintaining and improving management systems.

  • Conduct and support audits against ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • Maintain and improve management systems and compliance processes.
  • Monitor legislation, regulations and industry requirements.
  • Provide guidance on legislative and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Maintain compliance records and supporting evidence.
  • Identify non-compliance and drive corrective actions.
  • Support environmental, health & safety and broader compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with packaging regulations, WEEE and Batteries Regulations.

Key Responsibilities Of The Compliance Engineer
  • Conduct and support internal and external audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Maintain, develop and continually improve management systems and compliance processes.
  • Monitor relevant legislation, regulations and industry requirements.
  • Provide guidance across the business on legislative and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Maintain compliance records, procedures, documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Identify non-compliance and work collaboratively with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support environmental, health & safety, quality and wider legislative compliance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable packaging regulations, the WEEE Directive and Batteries Regulations.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
  • Support compliance assessments, audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to other sites as required to undertake audits and support consistent compliance standards.
  • Work with internal teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are understood and effectively managed.
  • Promote a positive culture of compliance, continuous improvement and high standards.
