We are seeking a talented individual to join our Compliance team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in our London offices. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.
We are looking for a Compliance Business Partner from an Insurance Broker / Insurer background.
This role will partner with the Marsh UK Specialty business to oversee and advise on compliance policies, procedures, systems, controls, and governance.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as a trusted advisor for regulatory and governance queries, providing guidance to the business.
- Attend business and governance meetings, providing updates on regulatory developments, risks, and actions.
- Develop effective policies and procedures to facilitate regulatory compliance.
- Advise colleagues on issues and risks related to their business or functions, including new business models and products.
- Promote communication between Compliance and the business about ongoing initiatives and projects.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments and support the business in assessing impacts and implementation challenges.
- Collaborate across teams, sharing information and supporting team members.
Requirements:
- Experience in Compliance within the London Market, either with an Insurer or Broker.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders.
- Deep knowledge of the FCA Handbook – Principles, Rules, and Guidelines.
- Commercial awareness and focus on proportionate regulation application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- ACII or other insurance industry qualification.
- Project management experience.
- University degree or recognized industry accreditation (e.g., ICA Diploma).
